On the 5th of March 2012 the new club house was ready and open for business. Members, visitors and guests gave their instant approval. The hand painted walls in the reception and the corridor leading into the bar simply stunned visitors. Ms Orla Murphy had certainly lived up to our expectations by incorporating unique features of Dromoland grounds in her work such as The Temple of Mercury, The Walled Gardens and of course our proudest feature, The Golf Course!
A relaxing ambience was created with the addition of soft furnishings, wool carpets and an added library area where one could read the papers in front of a blazing fire in peace!
A meeting area was extended also allowing for private office lunches or dinners. With the extra room made available through this refurbishment we are now in a position to welcome all of our societies and any private catering requirements our guests may have.
The Fig Tree Bar and Restaurant has become what we hoped it would... a home from home. Good quality fine food and wine within comfortable surroundings. On a dry warm evening, there is nothing like sitting out on the patio gazing over the walled gardens. All of our staff at the Fig Tree are more than happy to discuss menu's or private party requests that you may have!
