We, the team at Dromoland Golf & Country Club are not only privileged to represent one of Ireland’s finest parkland golf courses but we are also here and available to assist you with either your golfing holiday to Ireland, a golfing weekend with your friends or you simply want to know the results from our open week competitions!
John O’Halloran, Secretary Manager has represented Dromoland Golf Club for the past 22 years and has fond memories of forming a committee back in 1991 and getting the club affiliated with the GUI. John passed his managing reigns onto David Foley but still enjoys his position as Secretary Manager and loves nothing more than discussing competition rules with guests, handicaps with members and basically anything golf related will appeal to John. At a recent members evening in the clubhouse, John received a standing ovation when Captain William Fitzgerald announced John as incoming Captain for 2013!
Jenny Alderson, Golf Administrator has worked with the golf club since 2006. Although not having a golf background, Jenny worked for several years in the Middle East as a hotelier and was delighted to arrive home and work for an outstanding 5* resort such as Dromoland Castle Golf & Country Club. One of these days, Jenny promises to shock her colleagues by picking up a club!
David Foley, Golf Club Manager, Munster PGA Golfer of the Year 2012 & Clare County Coach, has been with Dromoland Golf Club for over 15 years. David began at the club as assistant golf professional working his way to becoming head golf professional. In 2007 David became Golf Club Manager which allowed him to bring his vision of attracting golf tournaments, setting course records, and putting Dromoland Golf Club on the map as a serious golf destination that should not be missed!
Mark Reynolds, Junior Officer and official starter has worked with the club for 8 years. Mark has been a keen golfer with the club since 1988 and has seen many changes during his time here ranging from our course becoming an 18 hole championship course to the construction of our new state of the art driving range. Mark is extremely proud to also be a committee member and for the first time in the history of our junior membership, our club has reached its junior limit and we now have a waitlist in operation!
